Kevin Brennan takes growing locally to a new level with his innovative orchard project at Island Grown‘s Thimble Farm. By carefully observing natural systems, he designed a food-producing system that utilizes local soil types, key-line drainage, multi canopy forestry and livestock grazing to cut the use of fossil fuels, fertilizers and watering. The idea is to work with what already thrives in our biosphere while bringing the community together through nature connection and the helping hands of Jamie O’Gorman, John Ripley Stanwood, Emily Palena, Alex BenDavid and others.
